230 <0.5 0.1 14/16 ICCONWAX HMC are a series of high melting point prepared waxes engineered to provide a single product line from which to select a wax optimized for your specific requirements.

They are produced by refining selected petroleum fractions, consists of paraffinic, branched paraffinic and napthenic hydrocarbons, ICCON's hard microcrystalline waxes are extensively used in wide variety of industrial products, most often used in conjunction with other materials or chemicals to impart specific properties. It is recommended for use in Candle, Rubber Industries, Water Proofing, Cosmetics, Adhesives etc.

CUP & PAPER COATINGS
The addition of ICCONWAX HMC to a paraffin based coating improves the adhesive properties, cohesive strength and flexibility of packaging coatings. Features such as improved gloss and blocking point, & reduced co-efficient of of friction of the coating are achieved by adding 10% ICCONWAX HMC to paraffin wax.

ELECTRICAL INSULATION
The ICCONWAX HMC offers good electrical insulation properties. These products can provide a moisture barrier seal that acts as a conformal coating, potting, filling or impregnant compound for electrical components, hard waxes can also be used as a seal between the leaves of foiling type capacitors.

HOT MELT ADHESIVES :
Hot melt adhesives ICCONWASH HMC are compatible in adhesive systems containing the most widely used copolymers & tackifying resins. By formulating performance of the adhesive resistant to high temperatures, the highest melting grades are most useful. The lower melting grades most useful. The lower melting grades are most useful for general purpose hot melts. All of the ICCONWAX HMC can be used to formulate flexible adhesives and their low surface aids in wetting many different surfaces.

HOT MELT COATINGS:

ICCONWAX HMC can be used to modify paraffin copolymer based coatings. Hara microcrystalline waxes are used alone or in conjunction with the softer, more flexible plastic waxes to provide the physical properties desired. The addition of 10-20% ICCONWAX HMC stabilizes the floss and improves the sealing strength of paraffin copolymer based coatings.

INVESTMENT CASTINGS:
ICCONWAX HMC hard waxes are used informing pattern waxes for metal investment casting. These waxes provide good dimensional stability and low ash to wax patterns. The flexibility of these waxes promotes good adhesion to metal surfaces.

PRINTING INKS, PAINTS AND SOLVENT BASED COATINGS:
ICCONWAX HMC can be added to printing inks and paints at levels ranging from 0.5 to 20%. They provide improved rub and reduced effect in printing inks. As additives to lacquers, paints, and varnishes these waxes act as lubricants matting and antisoiling agents, & reduce moisture vapour transmission.

ICCONOL SMC (Soft) Yellow 68 to 72 240 <3 to 5 0.1 8/10 DETAILS OF PLASTIC MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX:
The soft waxes are petroleum-derived microcrystalline waxes refined to provide a useful series of ductile, flexible, thermoplastic materials. The plastic waxes are much less crystalline than either the paraffin waxes or hard microcrystalline waxes due to their lower concentration of branched hydrocarbons.

CANDLES
As additive to candles, ICCON WAX SMC will normally reduce the size of the crystal structure of the base paraffin and make the candle more opaque.

CASTING WAX FOR METALS
ICCON WAX SMC can be used in pattern waxes for precisions castings of metal parts. The addition of plastic wax decreases the crystallinity of a filled or unfilled casting wax and reduces the amount of shrinkage of the casting wax from the metal surface.

COSMETICS
Anhydrous systems such as lipsticks and deodorant sticks can be improved by additions of ICCON WAX SMC. Their low melting point and flexible properties impart emolliency as well as dimensional stability to solid sticks. Emulsions, creams, and lotions also exhibit improved emolliency due to the addition of plastic waxes.

ELECTRICAL INSULATING AGENTS
ICCON WAX SMC can be coated for printed circuit boards. provide better moisture barrier & requires less cure time. Addition of ICCON WAX SMC can modify potting compound. This will help in preventing premature softening of the compound.

LAMINATING ADHESIVES
Plastic waxes meets with the requirement of the packaging industries where they are widely used as functional laminating adhesives. It has excellent flexibility at low temperature. It is compatible with hydrocarbon resins. polyisobutlene and butyl rubber. Thus it can be compounded to meet specific requirements. They readily wet many paper, film, and foil substrates.

RUBBER COMPOUND
As an additive of sunchek waxes, the more highly branched plastic waxes help provide a controlled migration to the surface of rubber and rubber related products.
